Any help you can give to this girl while OAARS tries to find her a home. The below information is from the owners email:
A 12-yr old female lab we took on from a family who was unable to PCS with her. She has hip displasia and gets around poorly, but is otherwise very sweet. Unfourtunately, due to our relocation from base housing (due to renovation) we will no longer be able to provide a good home. We are moving from a 1st floor on-base residence to a 7th floor off-base apartment. Additionally, she not able to stand or walk without carpeting and our apartment is entirely tiled. She had gone “down-hill” in the last year; while very sweet, she was not able to move much due to her hips and in a lot pain. We had taken her to the vet last week expecting to have her put down. But, they prescribed her a new medication and she has improved some. We do think she has some time left and don’t want to leave her with Karing Kennel’s or someplace of that sort for fear she will not be adopted and live out her last times in a kennel. If there is anything you could do, I would be much appreciated.

OAARS would like to say “THANK YOU” to all of the supporters, adopters, potential adopters, foster families and fur babies for coming out and supporting OAARS with the Okinawa weather. OAARS did cut the adoption event short due to the weather but we did have a few fur babies find new forever homes.
