Rza left today on a jet plane…Rza is on his way to the US with his new family that is waiting for him in VA. He was rescued on the beach in Yomiton and fit in perfectly. We are surprised that he did not get adopted on the island of Okinawa but it’s ok as his new family was on Okinawa and now lives in Virgina.

Previous OAARS dog Loki got to say Good Bye to his foster mom today. His story: OAARS was contacted that the family did not have any time or the means to take care of him. Loki was found in horrible living conditions and was neglected. Neglected in many ways but he was a happy go lucky dog. OAARS took him and he was just amazing. Here is his good bye picture today with his family and his previous foster mom. They got stationed at Lewis-McChord in Wa.
Ms. Amy needs a home
Monday, September 17th, 2012Amy was found limping outside the gates of Courtney with aseverely broken leg. Due to the extent of her injuries, she had immediate surgeryto repair the break. Amy had two additional surgeries to ensure proper healingand had the pins removed from her leg on August 30. She has made a fullrecovery and has full use of her leg.
While her leg was healing, Amy was required to stay in acrate except for bathroom breaks. Now that her leg is healed, she LOVES to runand explore her new-found freedom. Amy enjoys being outside and won’t hesitateto tackle you for some love. If she wants to be petted, she will nudge yourhand for attention. Amy shows no sign ofweakness from her break and we are hoping to find a home that will give her thelove that she needs. She does not need any further care for her leg, but sheshould still be careful if jumping down off furniture or a ledge. She has a new lease on life and she would love to have a family that she can live happily ever afterwith.
Amy is up to date on all of her vaccinations and is on amonthly heartworm and flea and tick medicine. Although we are unsure about herexact age, she is estimated to be around 8 months old.
If interested in adoption Ms. Amy please contact Maggie at 080 6496 1327 or at maggiescheetz@gmail.com.
If interested in foster Amy, please email oaarsfoster@gmail.com.
